Audience profile for horror films

To help me produce my film opening, I needed to find out what people want in the way of horror films, and what male, female and different age ranges prefer in the way of genres and horror.
I researched different age ranges and sex to find out what different people prefer from the internet and my questionnaire/survey.

I discovered that horror films are more popular with males who are under 25 and generally between 15-23.Reason being men are more likely to interact with the characters on the screen, and younger people generally appreciate the adrenaline the horror gives. I also found out that generally men prefer the gore side to  horror films rather than women

Here are some results from our survey:

As you can see these results contradict the general assumption that mainly males watch horror films however in our results 87.5% were female.

The results of our survey show that 100% of people that took the survey were 16-20 which agrees with the general assumption that most people who watch horror films are 15-23 however our results are biased as most people who answered the results are in the same school and age range.

This shows that the majority of people who watch horror films enjoy paranormal the most as the chart shows that exactly 50% chose paranormal where as none chose supernatural and thriller.

Institutional Resurch

An institutional logo is generally used at the start of films used by movie organisation or studios. These are memorable designs allowing their brands to be known and remembered by for example, Pixar.

In 2010, Pixar created a new company based in Vancouver called Pixar Canada. The Pixar production logo is a sequence that appears at the beginning and end of most Pixar productions movies, and features a playful desk lamp.

Warner Brothers is another example of a very successful institutional production company. They are an  American motion-picture studio that introduced the first genuine talking picture in 1927. The company was founded by four brothers, Harry, Albert, Samuel, and Jack Warner. Warner Brothers became known for its tightly budgeted, technically competent entertainment films. is a global leader in all forms of entertainment and their related businesses across all current and emerging media and platforms.
