Brainstorm ideas for preliminary task.

Storyboard.
1. Panning shot of character walking up some stairs towards door creates tension as the audience don't know what's beyond the door, it also presents the character and what she looks like.
2.This is a match on action shot of the subject opening the door it then pans to follow the subject.
3. The next shot is a panning shot continuing to follow the subject as she walks across the room, its also an establishing shot as it allows the audience to understand and see where the scene is set as you can see tables and chairs to clarify a classroom.
4.this is an over the shoulder shot reverse shot allowing the audience to see the character whilst the dialogue is being said.To improve this shot we could have used the 180 degree rule during the conversation as its adds a slight amount of confusion to the audience as the camera crosses the line.
5.This is another over the shoulder shot showing the reaction and dialogue of the other character, we did this by using the shot reverse shot technique.
6. Another over the shoulder shot continuing the dialogue.
7.This is a close up of a character on their phone, the camera focuses of the phone and how the character is not paying attention.
8.This is another close up of the other character, we decided to use this shot as it portrays the emotion of the subject and therefore shows the audience her anger.

Evaluation Of preliminary Task
What was my role?
My role in the preliminary task was to film the scenes, i also helped with the planning of the location ideas, shots and helped with the script.I also helped plan when we were going to film and make sure everyone together and prepared to film.
What went well?
I think our location worked very well, as it created a realistic atmosphere, as the scene was ment to be set in a classroom therefore we decided to film in a classroom and this made the scenes look more effective.I also think our editing worked quite well as we tryed to get the scenes to like continuously for example the scene where we have the panning shot of the teacher (sophie) walking towards the chair then linking to the over the shoulder 180 degree rule shot was effctive and it flowed well.
What didnt work well?
I think we could have used a costume in our piece as the student could have been wearing uniform to make it look more effective and realistic.
