Horror shot ideas

We researched some locations where we could film our opening for our horror film. After making my horror shot location types research we came up with some ideas that would suit the film.

Grave Yard

1-Grave Yard.
We decided that a grave yard would be a very atmospheric location for our film as it has representations of death and sorrow. Also the grave stones look scary and will bring assumptions to death. This grave yard is in Baldock therefore will be easily accessible. There are also many possible areas for shadows as you can see in the image which will create an eerie tone to the film. However As it is outside the lighting will get very dark and as in winter the wind may distract from the sound and the weather may be uncomfortable for the actors.

house

2-House/Attic
Our second option was to use a house of one of our actors
as they have an eerie attic that would be good to use as a location in our horror opening. We decided this room would be useful as its inside so would be comfortable for the actors also we would be able to light and use candle which would create shadows and make the scene very atmospheric. Our only issue with this location is there is limited space for the actors to all sit around.

Church

3-Church
Our third option was a church as the setting would be related to religion and death which would also create an eerie atmosphere as a church can be quite intimidating as they are very large and overpowering.

  2. Nothing new here and still much of the creative process not being detailed as you go along.
